Welcome to our ‘local’, Marta. This can become a problem when your ‘local’ restaurant is an up-scale pizzeria with great cocktails on the menu (bad for the wallet and for the diet!). Marta (by chef Nick Anderer) is famous for its thin-crust pizzas with simple, fresh and up-scale ingredients. They embrace the Italian tradition of seasonal dishes. The food is great and the atmosphere is awesome. I would recommend making a reservation, as it is ALWAYS packed out. We usually decide to go last minute and can often get a seat at the bar or at the pizza bar / open kitchen.
Marta is attached to the Martha Washington hotel (at which I have not stayed before, but it looks fancy).
